It was built in 782, after it was replaced in 1647. This shrine is called “Ataka Sumiyosi Daimyou-jin” and “Sumiyoshi-kyu”. The only god of “Nankan-toppa” (to over the worst part) in Japan, which are to over the worst part of the business and the life and the examination etc. Many visitors come from all over the country, there are Suesya and Konpirasya, Inarisya, Sekinomiya in the shrine. Also, there are “Atakanoseki”, which the moment in “Kanjinchou”(Kabuki). Kyudo ground, Yosano Akiko’s monument are numerous sightseeing. The shrine festival (Ataka festival) is held in 7-9th September.
