The shop was founded in 1837 (in the Edo era). It is said that the shop is the oldest Japanese sweet shop in Komatsu. Famous “Sekkatou” (the confectionary used 1 walnut) Tantansai Soushitsu, who is the 14th Urasenke grand tea master’s favorite. It has 6kinds of jyounama-gashi (high-grade Japanese confectionary) a weekly, such as “Matsukoboku” and “Fuyugaki”. The only shop in Komatsu, you can drink maccha (green tea) in shop. How about take a break here?
