Neko-no-Gobou Shopping Street

Fukuishi cat

There is a popular site near Komatsu station. The “Fukuishi-neko” couple, known as that those who touch it would be happy, is in a hermitage made by volunteer of Cat’s Gobou-douri Shopping Arcade. Stones kittens hide all over the street of the arcade. Many people including children and adults cannot help but look for them saying “I found one here!” These cats are made by Shunji Sonoyama who is a painter famous for the pictures of inviting happiness in Onomichi-shi. Please visit there to stroke the stone cats that would make you happy.
